Simon Ma is the Founder and Director of MP Consulting, bringing nearly two decades of enriched experience across the building, construction, and development sectors in New Zealand and internationally. Known for his thoughtful listening, strategic mindset, and pragmatic problem-solving, Simon combines deep technical expertise with strong management capability—enabling him and the team to analyse, coordinate, and resolve complex challenges across every phase of project delivery.

Simon’s career spans a diverse portfolio of high-rise towers, hotel developments, commercial assets, large-scale infrastructure, residential projects, and the rapidly expanding new-energy sector.

Before establishing MPC, Simon held management roles across New Zealand and China in public agencies, multinational corporations, and private development groups, contributing to iconic and high-profile projects throughout the region.

With a strong engineering foundation—holding both a Bachelor (1st Honors) and Master of Engineering from the University of Canterbury—Simon is recognised for his ability to move seamlessly between detailed technical work and broader strategic leadership. He is also an MBA candidate (2026) at the University of Sydney, further strengthening his commercial and executive capability.
